Privacy notice
What workhorse.run collects when you read it, who processes it, and how to opt out.
This notice covers the documentation site at workhorse.run. It is a static site: it has no user accounts, no sign-in, no forms, and no comments, and it stores nothing you type. Reading it sends the ordinary data an HTTP request carries, and two third parties see that data.
What is collected
Request logs. The site is served through Cloudflare, which proxies every request and sees your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser's user agent, and the referring page. Cloudflare uses this to serve the page, to cache it, and to protect the site from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. The origin server behind Cloudflare keeps no access log.
Analytics. Every HTML page loads Google Analytics 4 with the measurement ID G-9NC8FKZPVB.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser, records the pages you view and how you reached them,
and reports aggregate usage to the maintainers, under
Google's privacy policy. The maintainers use the reports to
see which pages are read and which are not. They do not sell the data, and they do not combine it
with any other source.
Machine-readable files such as llms.txt, the Markdown twins, sitemap.xml, and openapi.json
load no analytics script. A client that asks for Markdown with the Accept header receives the
twin and never loads the script.
How to opt out
Block the googletagmanager.com domain in your browser or with a content blocker, install
Google's opt-out extension, or read the Markdown twin
of any page by adding .md to its URL. The site works fully without the analytics script.
Other services
The hosted demo at demo.workhorse.run is a separate application with its own logs; this notice does not cover it. Links to GitHub, npm, PyPI, and pkg.go.dev lead to services with their own notices.
Changes and contact
This notice took effect on 5 September 2026 and changes when the site's behaviour changes; the current text is always the one at this URL. Questions about it go to the channels on Contact.
